We established with the aim of promoting the martial art of Aikido in Hong Kong

Our aikido courses are suitable for anyone of any age and experience, providing high-intensity training for students with different sports levels and physical conditions.

Our Course Details:

Our courses are two hours per session, the training content is no grade, and all participants practice together. Every class starts from basic movement to the complexity combinations exercise, Dojo Etiquette, Footwork, Joint-locks, Falling and Throws Techniques etc. In the course, you can experience that Aikido is the Way of the Spirit of Harmony, with its natural, a non-violent, non-competitive martial art.

The purpose of the training is not only to cope with the reality of the conflict but also to improve the physique performance, to understand the principles of Martial Arts.  Most importantly to have fun and meeting new friends.


Date & Time:

Every Mondays & Thursdays evening and Sunday afternoon at government sporting facilities on both Hong Kong and Kowloon sides subject to availability of the venues. Click here for more details.


Training Fee: HK$500 a month (We maintain 12~13 sessions a month)

                       Pre-pay for 4 months and enjoy a 10% discount


Basic Requirement: Aged 18 and above.

Enrolment: Anytime welcome.​

For Trial Session: HK$60 a session for ONE time only (*If joining us, the trial fee will be reimbursed from the first monthly fee.)

Your Aikido Instructor

We, Hong Kong Aikido Honshinkai established with the aim of promoting the martial art of Aikido in Hong Kong. 


We are a registered dojo by the Aikikai, Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.


Our Instructors are certified Yudansha (Dan Grade) by the Aikikai, Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.  Chief Instructor Jerald Tai represented Hong Kong in the World Combat Games in St. Petersburg and recently participated in many Aikido seminars and demonstrations around the world.


His professional experience and unique approach will provide the traction necessary for students to hit the ground running.


He personally works with each member to help them achieve their individual athletic goals.  He pushes but he also motivates. Early on, he identifies what each student is capable of with my goal being to help them reach, then exceeds, that potential.
